Product introduction of magnesia brick
Magnesia bricks mainly include ordinary magnesia bricks, medium grade magnesia bricks, high-purity magnesia bricks and fused magnesia bricks (composite magnesia bricks). Ordinary cooked magnesia bricks, commonly known as fired magnesia bricks (magnesia bricks), are the most produced and used alkaline bricks.
Ordinary magnesia bricks: The magnesia used to produce magnesia bricks mainly includes natural magnesia and seawater magnesia. The mass fraction of MgO in magnesia is between 89% and 98%. The limit particle size is usually 3~5mm.
Features of magnesia brick
The microstructure characteristics of ordinary fired magnesia bricks are that the total density of the bricks is high, the number of pores is small, but they mainly pass through the pores, the pore size is large, the main crystal phase is periclase, and the bricks are mainly cemented with silicate phase.
Due to the relatively low content of silicate phase in medium grade magnesia, the cementation degree is low, and the microstructure of medium grade magnesia brick is relatively simple, with low density and high porosity.
The microstructure of high-purity magnesia bricks is simpler and closer to that of high-purity magnesia. However, the matrix is the most loose and has the highest porosity.
Applications of magnesia brick
Magnesia bricks are mainly used in basic open hearth furnace for steelmaking, bottom wall of electric furnace, permanent lining of oxygen converter, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace, high-temperature tunnel kiln, calcined magnesia bricks and lining of cement rotary kiln, and bottom wall of heating furnace, Glass furnace regenerator grid brick, etc.
